William Buchan from Peterhead named as A90 crash victim

A man who died following a two-vehicle crash on the A90 in Aberdeenshire has been named.

William Buchan, 48, from Peterhead, was the driver of a van involved in the crash near Hatton on Thursday morning.

The 26-year-old male driver of a another van involved suffered serious injuries.

Sgt Colin Matheson, of Police Scotland, said: "Our thoughts are with Mr Buchan's family and friends at this very sad time."

Officers are appealing for witnesses.
