Car clocked doing 128mph in 60mph zone on A98

A teenager has been charged for allegedly driving at 128mph in a 60mph zone in Aberdeenshire.

Police said the speed was detected on the A98 Banff to Fraserburgh road near Ladysford on Saturday at about 17:00.

Police Scotland said a 19-year-old man had been charged. Three passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The speed checks were part of the ongoing Operation Cedar - Challenge, Educate, Detect and Reduce.
