Woman, 80, charged following accident in Portsoy

An 80-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a road accident involving four female pedestrians in Portsoy in Aberdeenshire.

Two of the women were seriously injured, with one being airlifted from the scene and the other taken to hospital by ambulance.

The two other pedestrians were checked over by paramedics at the scene but did not need hospital treatment.

The pedestrians were all aged in their 40s and 50s.

The incident happened at about 14:40 on Tuesday.
