Two women sought after woman assaulted in Aberdeen

Police have appealed for witnesses to an assault on a 24-year-old woman in Aberdeen.

Two women are believed to have been involved in the attack which happened just after midnight on Monday near a BP filling station on King Street.

The women were described as being in their 20s, with one having short, dark hair and wearing a beige hooded top and black leggings or jeans.

Police said the other woman was of a large build and had purple or red hair.

She was wearing a dark jacket.

PC Graham Crawford, of Police Scotland, said: "The 24-year-old woman sustained a facial injury after encountering two women aged in their 20s.

"I would encourage anyone who has any knowledge of this incident to contact the police."
