Jobs at risk at Aberdeen seafood processing factory
Aberdeen-based Nolan Seafoods has warned it may have to make up to 40 redundancies as it restructures.
The company said the decision has been brought on by "volatile and unpredictable" conditions in the salmon and white fish markets.
The loss of a major customer contract at short notice has also been blamed.
Nolan employs a total of 217 staff. Chairman George Nolan said they were communicating fully with staff during "this difficult period".
The firm - founded in Belfast in 1912 - has a West Tullos Industrial Estate base in Aberdeen.
