Two taken to hospital after serious A947 collision

Two women have been taken to hospital - one by air ambulance - after a serious crash in Aberdeenshire.

The two-vehicle collision happened on the A947 near Plaidy shortly before 09:00.

One woman who was trapped had to be freed by firefighters before being flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Her condition was not known.

Another woman, in her 20s, was taken by road ambulance to hospital.
