Pedestrian struck by bus in Aberdeen dies
A pedestrian struck by a bus in Aberdeen has died.
Douglas Rae, 59, from the city, suffered serious injuries in the accident involving a Stagecoach vehicle on Union Street, near its junction with Holburn Street, on 29 August.
He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in a critical condition.
Sgt Dave Pirie, appealing for witnesses, said: "Our thoughts are obviously with Mr Rae's family and friends at this very sad time."
He added: "Inquiries into the incident are still ongoing and as such I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to contact police.
"We believe there was a number of people who came to Mr Rae's assistance in the moments after the collision, and I would particularly appeal for them to come forward by contacting the force on 101."
