Apology over Aberdeen medical practice work experience emails error
An Aberdeen medical practice has apologised after personal email addresses were sent in error by a pupil on work experience.
The incident happened at Cove and Kincorth Medical Practice after the pupil was asked to update the online prescription system.
It was discovered that individual email addresses were sent to a "small number" of patients.
Patients have been assured that no clinical information was shared.
A spokesperson for Cove and Kincorth Medical Practice said: "We are aware that individual email addresses of a small number of our patients were accidentally shared with other patients.
"No clinical information or any other details were involved.
"We deeply regret the error and the practice accepts full responsibility. We have written to those involved to apologise and have put in place measures to ensure this cannot happen again."
