Teenager charged after Ellon Academy incident

A teenager has been charged after a pupil was treated by paramedics following an alleged assault at a school in Aberdeenshire.

Ambulance and police crews were called to Ellon Academy at about 08:20.

A 12-year-old boy was treated at the scene for a head injury but did not require hospital treatment.

Police said a boy, 16, had been charged and would be reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit. It was described as a "contained incident".
