Woman, 85, dies after Aberdeen crash

An 85-year-old woman has died after her car was involved in a collision in Aberdeen and then hit a tree.

The accident happened on Provost Fraser Drive at about 11:50.

She had been driving a blue Vauxhall Corsa which was involved in a collision with a silver Vauxhall Astra before leaving the road and hitting a tree.

Sgt Rob Warnock appealed for witnesses. He added: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who has sadly died."
