RMT members at Orkney Ferries back strike action

Workers at Orkney Ferries have voted in favour of industrial action.

Members of the RMT union who took part in the ballot, which followed a row over pay, backed strike action by about 80%, with a higher number supporting other forms of industrial action.

The mandate will now be considered by RMT's executive.

General secretary Mick Cash said it was an "overwhelming" vote.
