Contract win for Croma security group

Dumfries-based security firm Croma Group has won a contract from an international utilities company.

The three-year deal, worth £3.5m, was awarded to Croma's wholly-owned subsidiary Vigilant Security Services.

The company's chief executive Sebastian Morley said the contract was won after a "lengthy and searching tender process".

The Croma group is run by former soldiers from the Black Watch and employs about 500 staff.
