Profits sound good for Hi-fi firm

Scottish music company, Linn Products, has posted pre-tax profits of £1.8m for the year ending June 2011.

Based at its factory in Waterfoot, near Glasgow, Linn designs and manufactures music systems for the home.

Operating profit of £1.8m was up 9% on the previous 12 month period - research and development investment reached £2m.

The company, which has its own small record label, releases high quality audio known as Studio Master downloads.

Established in 1972, Linn Products distributes across the world and has recently focused on Asia.

Managing Director, Gilad Tiefenbrun, said of the results: "With products that are designed to last for years and systems that are easy to expand and grow with the customer, Linn has continued to innovate throughout the past year."
