Scottish airport passenger numbers for February on rise

Passengers numbers at Scotland's main airports all rose in February, with Aberdeen experiencing the largest percentage leap.

Aberdeen Airport saw an 18.7% improvement on the previous year to 242,800.

Almost 430,000 passengers travelled through Glasgow Airport in February. At Edinburgh, the rise was only 0.1%, reaching 611,600.

Regional airport group HIAL also recorded a rise in passenger numbers.

This was credited to a boost in international services at Inverness and increased traffic at Sumburgh.
