Manorview Hotels and Leisure Group expands portfolio

A hotel group is investing £2.75m in the development and expansion of its portfolio in central Scotland.

Manorview Hotels and Leisure Group has secured a £1.55m loan from Barclays to acquire Cornhill House Hotel in Biggar, Lanarkshire.

The bank has also provided a £1.2m loan to help Manorview develop Boclair House in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire.

The company plans to transform the two establishments into leading wedding venues.

Renfrewshire-based Manorview owns and runs eight luxury boutique hotels in central Scotland, and employs more than 300 people.
