Tarbolton teenager on Southerness murder bid charge

An Ayrshire teenager has appeared in court at Dumfries on a charge of attempted murder following an incident in a coastal village on Saturday.

Callan Gardiner, 19, of Sandgate, Tarbolton, appeared in private before Sheriff Robert Fife.

He was on a petition alleging he assaulted another man by repeatedly stabbing him in Southerness.

Depute fiscal Alison Herald said no plea was made and the case had been continued.
