Police identify Dumfries and Galloway van crash victim

Police have identified a woman who was killed in an accident involving a van and a lorry on a minor road in Dumfries and Galloway.

Carol Hesketh, 51, from Dunscore, died in the incident on the B729 near the A76 at about 1230 BST on Monday.

The collision involved her green Citroen Berlingo van and a silver Volvo articulated lorry.

Police are particularly keen to trace the driver of a large goods vehicle seen in the area at the time.
