Hawick man on baseball bat attack charge
A Hawick man has appeared in court accused of carrying out an assault with a baseball bat during an early morning disturbance at the weekend.
Michael Graham, 25, is charged with causing an injury to another 25-year-old to his permanent disfigurement.
He also faces a second charge of being in possession of an offensive weapon.
The offences are alleged to have been committed in the Teviotdale Court area of Hawick on Sunday. No plea was made and the case was continued.
Mr Graham was released on bail at Selkirk Sheriff Court with special conditions.
