Dumfries fake diazepam dealer sent to jail

A would-be drug dealer was duped into buying more than 200 fake diazepam tablets, a court has heard.

James Pool, 26, of St Michaels Street in Dumfries, was found with the blue pills hidden in his jacket.

However, police later discovered that they actually contained no trace of the tranquiliser.

Pool was sentenced to 70 days in prison at Dumfries Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to attempting to commit a drug-supply offence.
