Boys injured in Gretna Costcutter attack

Police have appealed for witnesses after an attack outside a convenience store which left two teenage boys in hospital.

The incident happened at about 2115 BST on Wednesday at the Costcutter shop in Gretna.

The two boys were sitting on the steps when a man assaulted them.

One boy suffered a broken nose while the other required stitches to his lip, at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

Police said they were following a "positive line of enquiry" but still want to speak to anyone who may have been in the area and saw anything.
