Efforts to restore Dumfries and Galloway water supplies
Scottish Water has said work is continuing to restore supplies to homes and businesses in Dumfries and Galloway still affected by the bad weather.
The utility said low temperatures and deep ground frost were causing problems with the public water network and with pipes in homes and gardens.
The worst affected areas are in Moniaive, Kirkton and Lochmaben.
Scottish Water said engineers were carrying out work on supplies, with contractors also being brought in.
A spokesman added: "Pipes that are still frozen or pipes that have burst are causing loss of water supply to homes and businesses across the area.
"The majority of calls we are receiving from customers in Dumfries and Galloway are regarding loss of supply due to a mix of public and private issues.
"We are helping out where we can by supplying bottled water to those customers who cannot easily access alternative supplies, and also to some communities which are affected by issues on our network."
The spokesman apologised to customers who had spent a long time off supply.
