Galashiels abattoir accident victim's funeral held

The funeral has been held of a Borders worker killed in an abattoir accident more than a fortnight ago.

David Barker, 48, died after he was struck by a falling metal partition at the Scottish Borders Abattoir in Galashiels on 19 January.

A post mortem was postponed twice but his body was later released for a funeral.

A service was held at Selkirk Parish Church followed by interment at the town's Shawfield Cemetery.
