Kelso one-way traffic trial set to start

Work is due to get under way later this month on a system to improve traffic flow through a Borders town.

The Kelso one-way project should start next week and take a month to complete.

Temporary signing and road lining will be put in place and there will be minor alterations to some footpaths in the town centre.

It is hoped the trial system will be in operation by March. The changeover is likely to happen on a Sunday morning, when traffic is lighter.
