Dumfries and Galloway College in industrial action vote
Staff at a college where 37 posts could be cut have voted in favour of a ballot on industrial action.
Lecturers' proposals to deal with a funding reduction at Dumfries and Galloway College have been rejected by the management board.
Instead, they have decided to take forward their own plans which include job and course cuts.
EIS union branch secretary Steve James said staff had now agreed to a ballot which could lead to strike action.
The cut proposals were revealed at the Dumfries site last month in the face of a £1.1m reduction in funding.
