Porsche stolen in high-value Earlston break-in
Police have appealed for witnesses following a "high-value" house break-in in a village in the Scottish Borders.
The incident happened some time between 1500 GMT on 27 February and 0900 GMT on Sunday at a property in Haughhead Avenue in Earlston.
The thieves caused considerable damage and a large number of items, including a Porsche Cayenne, were stolen.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said the owner had been "deeply distressed" by the the incident.
"Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in or around Haughhead Avenue is asked to contact police immediately," he said.
"Similarly, anyone with information that can help us identify those responsible is also asked to get in touch as soon as possible."
