A giant willow "baby" is to be unveiled as part of an arts scheme in a Dumfries and Galloway village.

The sculpture is the latest addition to the Inspire Creetown project.

The Creebaby has been created by Alex Rigg who also produces the willow giant burned at the Wickerman Festival in the region every year.

The sculpture project is being accompanied by a number of workshops to encourage people to create items with willow and other woods.

The metal frame of the Creebaby will have roses and clematis growing through it.

It also has a doorway in the back to allow people to step inside it.

The sculpture sits in the Balloch Wood which rises above Creetown.

It will be officially unveiled on 9 April, with the workshops a week prior to that.
