Stranraer police seek dog walking attack victim

Police have appealed for a dog walker who was attacked by a group of men on a Stranraer street to contact them.

The incident happened at about 1430 GMT on Saturday near the town's McDowell Drive.

The victim was assaulted by a group of four or five men who have been linked to a red Volkswagen seen in the area at the time.

Police said the man who was attacked has not yet been identified and asked him to come forward with information.

Anyone who witnessed the incident has also been urged to contact Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary.
