Berwickshire man airlifted after farm accident

A man has been airlifted to hospital after he was struck by a piece of machinery on a Berwickshire farm.

It is understood he was hit by the equipment while working at Belstruther Farm near Cockburnspath at about 1700 BST on Wednesday.

The man involved is believed to be in his early 40s.

He was treated for back and pelvic injuries at the scene and was then transferred by helicopter to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
