Hawick organised crime raids seize cash and goods

Cash and goods worth about £25,000 have been seized in an operation in the Borders to tackle the threat of serious and organised crime groups.

Lothian and Borders Police along with trading standards and HM Customs and Excise officers conducted raids in the Burnfoot area of Hawick on Friday.

Cash, drugs, tobacco and alcohol were seized along with what is believed to be counterfeit clothing and footwear.

A 36-year-old man is now the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.
