Newtown St Boswells A68 crash victim taken to hospital

A woman is in hospital in the Borders after being cut free from her car following a crash on the A68 near Newtown St Boswells.

The two-vehicle accident happened at about 0840 BST.

Firefighters from Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service had to cut the roof off the woman's car in order to get her out.

It is thought she suffered injuries to the neck and spine. She was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment.
