Dumfries murder attempt charge for 14-year-old boy

A 14-year-old boy has appeared in court in south west Scotland on a charge of attempted murder.

The teenager - who cannot be named for legal reasons - appeared in private at Dumfries Sheriff Court.

He was on a petition accusing him of stabbing another youth to the danger of his life in the Lincluden area of Dumfries on Saturday.

No plea or declaration was made and the case before Sheriff Kenneth Ross was continued.
