Festival-goers are making their way to the Wickerman Festival in Dumfries and Galloway.

Gates to the site at East Kirkcarswell Farm near Dundrennan open at noon ahead of the official start to the 10th festival at 1800 BST.

Indie band James and Feeder have been confirmed as the headline acts.

Also joining them will be Dumfries singer-songwriter Emma's Imagination, The Coral, Noisettes, The Hoosiers, The Damned and The Bluebells.

Dumfries and Galloway Police said they had a "meticulous policing plan" for the festival, but there may be some dangers or opportunist thieves in the area.

A spokesman said: "Generally speaking the majority who attend behave themselves and we have low numbers of arrests."

The Wickerman Festival, which culminates with the burning of a wickerman, finishes on Saturday night.
