Lochcarron of Scotland staff secure back-pay boost
Up to 100 workers at a Borders textile firm are set to secure a back-pay boost after accepting a pay cut more than two years ago.
Lochcarron of Scotland's Selkirk staff were asked to take a 10% reduction in wages as the firm struggled in 2009.
They continued on lower rates for 18 months until January this year when full pay was restored.
Now new owners E-Land, who took over in July, have told staff they will be compensated for the money lost.
The South Korean retail company bought the Scottish firm earlier this month.
Up to 100 staff are now expected to receive more than £1,000 each.
It is understood the money will be paid back in instalments over three months, starting next month.
