Police have made a fresh appeal for help in tracing a missing Borders teenager as the search operation to find him continues.

Jamie Battison, 19, of Coldingham, has not made contact with family or friends since Saturday.

He was last seen with a group of friends in The Ship pub in Eyemouth shortly after midnight.

Insp Andy Clark of Lothian and Borders Police urged anyone with information to contact police immediately.

"The search has been ongoing now since Sunday afternoon," he said.

"We have been using various different organisations - Borders Search and Rescue, coastguards and Strathclyde Police helicopter - to supplement both police searches and members of the public who have been out assisting with the search."

He asked anyone who might have seen him or may have spoken to him to get in touch.

The public has also been asked to check their gardens, garages or outbuildings for any sign of the missing teenager.
