Selkirk house theft sparks euros alert

The public is being asked to report anyone trying to exchange "large quantities" of euros after a break-in at a house in the Borders.

The incident happened some time between 24 and 26 August at a property on Linglie Road in Selkirk.

Lothian and Borders Police said a "large amount" of sterling and euros had been taken.

Anyone asked to exchange the currency or who saw anything suspicious in the area has been asked to contact them.
