Stranraer cyclist robbed outside store

Police have launched an investigation after a cyclist was robbed outside a shop in south west Scotland.

The incident happened some time between 20:40 and 21:40 on Friday near the KC Store at the corner of Glenwell Avenue and Belmont Avenue in Stranraer.

A 49-year-old man was pulled off his bike and robbed of a wallet containing a "three-figure sum" of money.

He suffered a cut to his head as a result of his fall. No description of his attackers has been issued.
