River Tweed death probe continues at Galashiels

Police investigations are continuing after a man was pulled dead from the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders at the weekend.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said the 72-year-old's body was discovered at Boleside near Galashiels on Saturday.

The name of the pensioner has not yet been released.

However, police said there were no suspicious circumstances and a report would go to the procurator fiscal.
