Police have renewed their appeal for information to help trace a man who went missing in the Scottish Borders last month.

Steven Hope, from Peebles, was last seen at about 21:00 on 24 August in the Greenside area of the town.

Police said there were serious concerns for his well-being after he had failed to make any contact with friends or family over the past two weeks.

The 43-year-old also has family links in Edinburgh and West Lothian.

Lothian and Borders Police has urged anyone who believes they have seen him since 24 August to contact them.

Mr Hope is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, with a stocky build, a clean-shaven complexion and green eyes.

He has a celtic tribal tattoo on his back between his shoulder blades. He also has an eight-inch skin graft on his right arm.
