Lockerbie teenager killed in Annan crash identified

Police have identified a teenager who died following a crash on the outskirts of Annan on Friday evening.

Stuart Hardie, 19, of Lockerbie, was fatally injured when his blue MG ZR was in collision with another vehicle on the B724 Annan to Collin road.

A 52-year-old woman who was driving the other car involved, a red Toyota Avensis, is in a "serious but stable" condition in hospital.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the incident to contact them.

The road was closed for nine hours for accident investigations to take place.

Anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision has been asked to contact police.
