Ecclefechan cocaine swoop duo face jail

Two men are facing jail for their roles in a £44,000 cocaine deal.

Richard Anderson, 38, and Philip Burke, 41, were caught by police in Ecclefechan, in Dumfries and Galloway, in March this year.

Officers swooped after a tip-off that Anderson was going to take possession of a significant amount of drugs.

Anderson, of Glebe Place, Ecclefechan, and Burke, of Prescot, Merseyside, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine. Sentence was deferred.

At the High Court in Glasgow, Judge Lady Stacey continued bail for both men.
