Thieves take lambs worth £13,000

Police are investigating the theft of 131 Cheviot and commercial lambs from fields near Johnstonebridge in southern Scotland.

The animals, worth in the region of £13,000, were taken from Skemrigghead and Annanbank.

It is thought they were taken from the two fields some time between Monday and Thursday.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area in recent days has been asked to contact police.
