Scottish Borders jobs pledge over enterprise move
Scottish Enterprise has said there will be no job losses when it moves its Scottish Borders operations from Galashiels to Selkirk next year.
The agency will share premises with the Business Gateway which already operates at the Ettrick Riverside.
Scottish Enterprise has occupied a four-storey site on Bridge Street in Galashiels for the past 20 years.
It said all 35 staff would be transferring to the new office as part of the move.
A spokeswoman said: "We will be moving our operations in the Borders to the business centre at Ettrick Riverside in Selkirk, when the lease on our current office in Galashiels comes to an end towards later in 2012.
"Our new location will see us co-locate with Business Gateway and the business incubator space, and demonstrates a continued focus on our delivery and commitment to the Borders."
