Lauder health centre plans scaled down

NHS Borders has unveiled revised plans for a new health centre in Lauder which will be smaller than first planned.

After an agreement last month on moves to purchase common good land at Crofts Road, a fresh application has been submitted with the local authority.

However, instead of a two-practice centre, which was passed by Scottish Borders Council, the new design will only house a single GP surgery.

The full application will be considered by the council over the coming weeks.
