Hawick man in court on sex assault charge

A Hawick man has appeared in court in the Scottish Borders charged with sexually assaulting a woman in the town.

Graeme Cook, 37, of Allars Bank, has been accused of committing the offence on Friday.

He appeared in private at Selkirk Sheriff Court, where he made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination.

Mr Cook was released on bail by Sheriff Kevin Drummond.
