London man jailed over Lockerbie motorway drugs haul

A drugs courier has been jailed for three years after being caught on a south of Scotland motorway with drugs with a street value of up to £110,000.

Eamonn McCann, 61, of Bow Common, London, was found guilty of being concerned in the supply of amphetamine on the A74(M) near the Lockerbie north junction in June 2010.

He was also found guilty of being in possession of cannabis resin.

A second man was cleared of committing the offences at Dumfries Sheriff Court.
