Hawick town hall to reopen after power fault

Scottish Borders Council is due to reopen its services in Hawick town hall after power problems in the building.

The local authority confirmed it had decided to shut the site at about 09:30 on Monday morning.

In a short statement, it said that it expected all services to be back online by Tuesday.

The hall, which is the largest owned by the council, offers a variety of services as well as being used as a venue for events.
