Rigg graveyard car crash costs £8,000

Police have appealed for witnesses after a car crashed into a cemetery wall causing damage which will cost about £8,000 to repair.

The incident happened at Rigg in Dumfries and Galloway some time earlier this week.

A large section of the wall was damaged in the crash and the car failed to stop afterwards.

A police spokesman said the vehicle involved was thought to be a Ford Focus.
