Twelve black Galloway cows in calf have been stolen from a unit at Canonbie in Dumfries and Galloway.
The incident happened at Glenzier Gardens some time between 10:00 on Friday and 09:30 on Saturday.
Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary has appealed to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to contact them.
A spokesman said the estimated valued of the animals taken in the incident was about £24,000.
