Showers are set to turn wintry and get heavier during the day, with the chance of 10cm of snow on higher ground.

The yellow warning has been put in place from 15:00 on Wednesday until 10:00 on Thursday.

The Met Office has also said there is a risk of ice on untreated surfaces away from western coasts during Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
