Dumfries and Galloway school project share sold for £2m

A property firm has agreed a deal to sell its share of a project which built nine new schools in southern Scotland.

Sweett Group is to sell its 15% interest in E4D&G - the private sector partner in the Dumfries and Galloway Public Private Partnership.

The deal, worth a little more than £2m, is expected to be completed with Cygnet Investment Ltd by the end of April.

The company said the funds had been earmarked for "investment in the group's future development".
